Mock branding project for an archiving class. Objectives were to show composition, typography and the relation of images to each other. 2020.
Blot
Original font titled “BLOT.” It is designed to provoke anxiety in the reader. Techniques to cause discomfort include decreasing legibility and using different, seemingly random font weights. The weights of the letters are decided by their frequency of use in the English language. The type specimens as seen above are showing the typeface in use with particularly “anxiety-inducing” phrases. The calming colors, shapes, and scenes are used to contrast the font. 2020.
